Time to Die is the tenth book in the dynamic Inspector Drake crime series. If you like police procedurals, clever mysteries, and gripping page-turners, then you’ll love Stephen Puleston’s unnerving whodunit.

Review

Another totally gripping addition to the brilliant Detective Drake series.

I do love this series.  It is set in North Wales so I am familiar with some of the places and love reading about the areas I have not yet visited.  Along with the setting the series has unique well developed characters that seem to always have more to give.  Add to that a suspense filled detective story and you have a book that you are unable to put down until the very end.

A witness in an important trial is found dead on a beach.  It is obviously murder and the suspects have to be the criminals who are awaiting trial.  But Drake is not convinced.  Then another witness is killed.  Despite everything pointing in the direction of the Haddock brothers Drake is determined to keep an open mind.  The search for evidence and clues is long and complicated but Drake is not one for walking away from a challenge.

The book has more twists and turns than a roller coaster.  Secrets, lies, drugs, money adultery, revenge and murder all play their part in an adrenaline pumping story that will keep the pages turning all the way to the totally unexpected ending.

A brilliant read that  I recommend to anyone who likes crime fiction.

Thank you to the author for the advance digital copy in return for my unbiased review.
