JOFFE BOOKS: What the Bloggers & Readers think. Day 20: Book Lovers Book Reviews. #TeamJoffeBooks

Today on my Joffe Books Rolling Blog I am very excited to welcome Linda Strong from Book Lovers Book Reviews. Linda lives in the USA and posts on Delphi Forums. We like having her join the Blog Tours as she reaches readers not accessible via the Blogs.

Linda Strong

Hello Linda. could you tell us a little about yourself and what made you start blogging?

I am a voracious reader and I love sharing my reviews and thoughts about any book I’ve read. I also love to hear what others think. I could talk books all day long. I even took early retirement so I’d be able to read as much as I wanted and not have to worry about getting up in the morning to go to work.

Β

How long have you been blogging (when you first set up your blog)

I’m not really sure … I’m going to estimate at least a year. My blog isn’t really a blog. I have a forum at http://forums.delphiforums.com/BookReviews (BOOK LOVERS BOOK REVIEWS). I post all my reviews there. There are many subjects discussed, not just reviews, there are the authors who make the news. We salute and remember the authors we’ve lost. We even have cartoons. The visitors there all have one thing in common …. we all love books of all genres. I’ve added so many new books to my wish list from reading what others discuss.

Β

When did you start joining Blog Tours and why?

It’s been several months and I’ve loved every minute. Again, it’s all about the reading and sharing.

Do you join blog tours for a lot of publishers? About how many? Right now, Joffe Books is the only publisher I tour for.

Β

What do you think of the books Joffe publish are they usually good, average, bad?

Joffe books are incredible! I’ve discovered so many new authors that have steadily moved up to my top ten favorites.

Β

Joffe Books is run differently to other publishers is the short notice of book releases a problem given how much in demand bloggers are?

I generally read a book a day unless the book can be used for a doorstop …. so short notices don’t bother me. I have no problem in keeping up. Of course all those notes hanging from my computer help me remember. πŸ™‚

Β

Some Bloggers leave room for Joffe Books are you one of those? If so why?

When I first get an invitation, I will usually start reading as soon as I finish my current read.

Β

Joffe Books has a launch team that get together in a virtual party setting and many of the authors support each other and chat with the readers and bloggers. Do you think this is a good idea? If so why?

I think it’s a great idea! I’m for anything that promotes reading and an interest in books. I love talking to authors. I do a lot of stalking…er, I mean following… of authors to see what they’ve done, what they’re doing now, etc.

Β

Have you ever gone to a Joffe Launch Party? What do you think of them?

I have been to a couple. I confess, I’m really bad at trying to figure out the time zones. I usually wind up too late when nothing’s left but a couple cold sandwiches. But I keep trying!

Β

Do you think the Joffe Blog Tour experience could be improved?

If so what would you recommend? I’m tickled with what is done now. No improvement necessary as far as I’m concerned. πŸ™‚

Β

Is there anything else you would like to say about Joffe Books, their authors or Social Media Promoter?

The Joffe Books I’ve read have been tremendous. My preferred genre is mystery…murder…mayhem… and thankfully Joffe always has a terrific number of these available.

The authors always seem to be available … I run into a lot of them on Facebook and they always stop by and answer questions someone may have for them .. or just comment on a review.

Jill Burkinshaw is my go-to person at Joffe. . She does a brilliant job of keeping everything in order and lining up reviewers. I honestly don’t know how she does it! She’s a joy to work with as far as scheduling reviews, and she’s just one of the friendliest people you’d ever want to know.

I’ve loved the time spent with Joffe and Jill and I hope to keep participating as long as they’ll let me.
