What the Bloggers think of Written in Blood

Ginger Book Geek

This has to be my favourite book of the series so far.  The story hits the ground running and maintains the pace throughout.  The crimes are gruesome in nature and will certainly stay in my mind for a long time to come.  I found reading ‘Written In Blood’ to be extremely addictive.   Read more here

Linda Strong Book Reviews

This is a highly suspenseful crime fiction with many twists and turns. Not everyone tells the truth … not everyone is who they say they are … and there are many suspects to look at a little more closely.  Read more here

Sassy Redhead Book Reviews

I liked this book and Drake’s team, they may seem like a misfit bunch, but they work well together and they work hard to find the killer. There is more than one murder and all of the victims are connected. If you are a fan of police procedural and suspense, I would highly recommend this book.  Read more here

Akamatra

The suspense is thick and there are many nice twists in this story. I loved the fact that you can’t really “make” the murderer from the suspects and that this was a nice read that didn’t need any knowledge of the previous books in the series. However, now that I’ve read this one I want to read all other books with Inspector Drake!  Read more here

Turn The Page

Another fantastic installment of Inspector Drake, highly recommend this, well written and easy to read. Being book six, I think they should be read in order to get full effect, however there is a standalone story, so can be read by anyone and everyone!!!  Read more here

A savage murder…
When Inspector Drake is called to the holiday home of eminent barrister and recently appointed judge, Nicholas Wixley, he is faced with a grizzly sight. Wixley’s body has been badly mutilated and staged to resemble a scene from the feared serial murderer – The Alphabet Killer. The only problem is, the perpetrator for those murders is already behind bars…

A copycat killer on the loose?
Drake and the team embark on a frantic investigation to identify the copycat killer and warn other potential victims – all of whom Drake suspects are linked to the previous Alphabet case. But when a friend of Wixley’s is found murdered on his yacht, Drake begins to suspect the copycat link is a red herring to throw them off the scent…

A murderer who must be caught!
And when another murder takes place, Drake begins to question everything he knows about this case and his possible suspects. Now with his own reputation and the integrity of the Wales Police Service on the line Drake cannot afford to make any more mistakes.
