Sycamore Gap: A DCI Ryan Mystery by L.J. Ross
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Well written and gripping read I rate this book 4.8*.
This is book 2 in the series and I would recommend, if you haven’t already done so, to read book 1 first as it not only introduces the characters but the case and events in book 1 have repercussions in this book.
DCI Ryan is still star of the show as his character develops further while he continues to cope with tragic events in his past. Phillips also comes into the limelight as his relationship with MacKenzie progresses.
It is an intriguing story that keeps the reader guessing right to the end with hints of cult and corruption and curve balls all the way through you have to keep turning the pages.
My only gripe with this book is that it leaves unanswered questions and I find that very annoying and have therefore deducted some points.
I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.
